Amazon came out with its 4th version of the Kindle on 28 Sep 2011. New Kindles include the Kindle 4 with a price of $79 to $109, while the Kindle Touch is priced from $99 to $149. Finally the Kindle Fire is Priced at $199.

New Kindle 4 and Kindle Touch are still have e-ink screen to save users eyes, while theKindle Fire comes will full color backlight display. New e-ink kindle is redesigned to be lighter and thinner. Physical keyboard disappears to make it more compact to take everywhere.

The Kindle Fire is mostly a tablet, so its good for videos, internet, music and games. I would say its less ideal for reading than its counterparts, though it still works well at that. The Kindle Fire is only available to US because of digital contents restrictions, etc. This is why the Kindle Fire International Version is not available in Canada just yet.
